ALICE’S GIRLS: Gave fair account for close sixth when
wide in turf dash two starts back, and then raced wide
again when fifth on stretch to route for latest; stay on
board.
CANDY STALKER: Ran into blowout winner when
second on well-meant class drop for his latest; his turn
next time for elusive second career victory.
DISCREET SENORITA: Lived up to odds-on role with
third score from her last four starts most recently; filly
can stay sharp for trainer E. Lehman (31% wins this
year).
DOUBLE BERG: Put in a bid between foes and then
flattened a bit late when third in her latest; 6YO mare
has solid overall resume and can move forward in
upcoming third start of current form cycle.
FLAGNDINI: Rated, rallied, and drew off to clear score in
his return to dirt most recently and has now won half of
his eight career tries on fast dirt; keeps rolling for very
strong R. Preciado barn.
FOR GOD ‘N COUNTRY: Battled gamely throughout his
latest when a narrowly beaten second; proves viable
$7,5k-claim for trainer M. Pino.

pace and weakened to finish a fair fourth in her first
start in six weeks off claim by trainer K. Demasi; atones
for favored loss.
HARD TO NAME: Rallied inside in an improved effort
when third in his latest; 5YO son of Hard Spun can stay
sharp now for trainer M. Aro.
PORTENT: Has given improved accounts for fourth in
each of his last two at square tote prices; keep him on
your tickets for D. Dotolo barn.
SARA’S ANGEL: Moved forward with rally for third two
starts back and held form reasonably well in latest
fourth when asked to take big jump in class; value play.
SHEM CREEK: Chased and weakened to sixth when
he took tote play for his second lifetime start (can be
considered debut as he lost rider in prior try) on class
drop to MCL ranks; another chance with similar.
STREET ICON: Gained ground quickly, but too late when
a close third on well-meant class drop for his latest; can
close out turf season the right way.
BEST BET: HARD TO NAME: Moved into contention
and chased clear leader before he gave way to third in
his latest; prior start was strong, and gelding likely has
more to give.
LONGSHOT: TIN WHISTLE: Should benefit from his
racing debut, in which he was along for fourth of 10
in turf route – not an easy task for juvenile first out;
moves forward for trainer K. Demasi.
Turfway Park
BENNY’S BOMBSHELL: Chased outside and weakened
to sixth as failed choice in her first start back from brief
respite; once promising sort has clearly been hurt by
overall time away, but lightly raced 4YO can atone.
BIG LEGACY: Chased outside and couldn’t sustain
bid when fourth in his latest as the favorite; proven
commodity with 11 lifetime wins had win streak
snapped in latest, but can start another.
DUSTIN’S LUTE: Put in a wide run and weakened to
finish a reasonable fifth of 11 in his sprint racing debut
from post position 10; juvenile son of Midnight Lute to
follow.
GO DOUG GO: Justified favored role with 1 ¾-length
score in solid win most recently; proven veteran in
the exacta in 30 of 67 tries knows what to do when it
counts.
LEADEM IN KEN: Put in a wide run and then couldn’t
gain late when an acceptable third on well-meant class
drop for his latest; must-follow off $25k-claim for
trainer M. Lovell.
MAZIETTE: Rated and rallied from last of six to finish
second in good account most recently; 3YO daughter of
Candy Ride is interesting $30k-claim for trainer B. Cox
(27% wins this year).
POR FAVOR: Gained wide to reach contention and then
“drifted, hung,” according to chart, when a narrowly
beaten fifth; have to believe debut performance moves
him forward for solid E. Kenneally barn.
RAOFTHESUN: Didn’t threaten when fifth in his latest,
and hasn’t lived up to promising second-place debut
at IND in pair of subsequent starts; might need MCL
scene.
RY’S THE MAN: Rallied and managed fourth in blanket
finish most recently; plenty of room to keep moving
forward now with two races under his saddle since back
from lengthy absence.
SEE THROUGH: Won on turf three starts back and has
since held her form on dirt with a pair of second-place
finishes; must use for trainer P. McGee.
SOUND OF FREEDOM: Raced in third throughout his
latest, but now has a pair of starts in him since back
from April-layoff; lightly raced 4YO son of War Front set
to break out.
SOUTH TO THE SEA: Blasted clear on the pace and
weakened when it counted in fourth-place finish when
making his second start since late-July; primed now.
BEST BET: JROCK: Broke awkwardly and came up empty
when fifth as the choice in his first start since early-
August; gets a chance to atone for winning E. Kenneally
barn.
LONGSHOT: PRIVATE ESTATE: Made the pace and
faltered to fourth when in from PRX for her latest;
daughter of Speightstown figures sharper next time,
having turned back from route trip for most recent
outing.
